"Rock the Island" Car Show/Cruise-In

One of many photos from the "Rock the Island" Car Show/Cruise-In -- MWR's Auto Skill Shop had its first ever "Rock the Island" Car Show/Cruise-In that took place July 26. All makes and models of cars, trucks, motorcycles showed up and were welcomed. The event was open to the general public and admission was free. More than 70 cars were at the even and were judged. Newcomers to Arsenal Island Receive Orientation

New employees and family members receive a gift bag from USO of Illinois-Rock Island before boarding a bus to see a tour of the Quad Cities. This wrapped up a day of presentations and information, which was a part of the Rock Island Arsenal Newcomers Orientation that took place Thursday, July 24. High five tour

The 2014 Shelby GT500 of Wounded Warriors Family Support arrives at Rock Island Arsenal Wednesday morning. The car, signed by thousands of people who have seen and visited it, is traveling to all 48 contiguous states to raise funds to build "smart" homes to help wounded warriors. At the end of its tour, it will be auctioned with the proceeds going to support the effort.

High Five Tour

Sgt. 1st Class Larry Howard of Army Sustainment Command signs the Wounded Warrior Shelby GT500 Mustang Cobra. An estimated 19,000 signatures adorn the automobile, which will be auctioned to build smart homes for wounded warriors and their families.
